What is EMTONE?
Available exclusively at Hello Laser’s Scottsdale spa, EMTONE is a dual technology procedure FDA-cleared for the temporary reduction of cellulite, targeting all five causes of cellulite dimples! EMTONE is a quick, non-invasive treatment that combines radiofrequency therapy and targeted pressure energy to reduce the appearance of cellulite. EMTONE can help repair the loss of elasticity due to deteriorating elastin and collagen fibers, reduce enlarged fat chambers in the tissue, decrease metabolic waste retention, increase circulation and blood flow, and repair the fibrous bands (septae) that pull down the skin, causing fat to bulge and cellulite dimples to form. How does EMTONE work?
EMTONE’s radio frequency warms the skin and tissue to around 108-111°F. At this temperature, collagen undergoes structural changes that tighten the existing fibers and stimulate new collagen production, resulting in tighter, firmer skin. At the same time, the device emits acoustic waves of targeted pressure, stimulating the skin, boosting circulation, and reducing the fluid and waste retention that contributes to the bumpy appearance of cellulite.

Stay hydrated! This is a great time to develop healthy habits, increase your activity level and make healthy diet and lifestyle decisions. Avoid excess sugar, alcohol, and smoking, as these will harm your results. We suggest using Hello Laser’s tightening and firming lotion morning and night on the treated areas to help encourage your lymphatic system to perform at optimal levels.

The area can stay red for 24-48 hours after your session.
There are four levels (Grades 0-3) of Cellulite. With EMTONE, most Hello Laser clients jump a level towards improvement after four sessions. You can see noticeable results about two months post-treatment. The gradual improvement can be hard to notice without photo documentation. This is why we take photos for your chart to have documented results before and after. If you have a good amount of cellulite or very dense tissue, we suggest expecting 6-8 sessions for better results. Typically we schedule after photos around 2-3 months post-last session.
Cellulite Grades:
- Grade 0: No visible cellulite.
- Grade 1: Dimpling appears with the “pinch test” or when the muscle is contracting.
- Grade 2: Dimpling is visible when pinched, flexing, or standing but not when lying down relaxed.
- Grade 3: Dimpling is always visible, whether standing or lying down.
EMTONE can be used on the outer thighs, back of thighs, buttocks, abdomen, back of the arms, and love handles.

Our consultations are usually 30-45 minutes, and we make sure you fully understand the process and that you are the right candidate for treatment. Typically, the EMTONE treatment time is 7-12 minutes per zone, depending on the treatment area. After 7-12 minutes per zone, we will remove the ultrasound lotion, apply the transform lotion and remove the grounding pad. You should rebook your next session in 3-4 days, or if you combine treatment with EmSculpt Neo, then every seven days.
The EMTONE treatment is completely non-surgical, so you can typically return to work and normal activities immediately.
